Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is born June 15 in 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. She has previously made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the group Oasis as a Christmas commercial from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. She gained some further recognition from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and being awed with the sounds it could make. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a career or hobby but rather to gain experience. She began to write with her own music. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mother urged her to play her music publicly, not for the sake of trying to become famous but rather make others aware of how significant they are and what they can do for the world. She started playing piano when she was just 6 years old and started writing songs when she was nine. They didn't let her parents know about it until she reached 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She claims that she simply is a fan of writing songs. Music to her is the most effective way to experience anything.
