Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey was a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka, born on May 5th, 1998, from Minsk Belarus. She has 12 WTA titles in her career, which includes that of the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. In her role as a specialist in doubles she has also won the US Open of 2019 as well as her first Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. Alongside the Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian won an award called the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in the year 2019, making her the Sunshine Double. Only four couples were able to achieve this feat in women's doubles. The singles world ranking climbed yet again, reaching its top position on January 20, 2023. The Belarusian rose to the top of the doubles ranking the year following, having taking the title in Melbourne. This made her the only Belarusian tennis player to achieve success in the field. Her coach was an ex- Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the close of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann worked with her for short periods from August 2020 to September. She is being trained by her nationman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
